Mayor Valente called the meeting to order at 8:06 p.m. All members of Council were
present. All members of staff were present.
`"~ BILL 814 -AMENDING 1995-96 BUDGET FOR FLOOD DAMAGE REPAIRS
Discussion was held concerning Bill 814, a proposed ordinance amending the General
Fund Budget for Fiscal Year 1995-96 to appropriate funds to repair several incidents of
flood damage to Village property and infrastructure to be reimbursed by Federal
Emergency Management Agency. This will be placed on the Regular Session agenda
of February 22, 1996.
DECLARATION OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT
Discussion was held concerning declaring four vehicles transferred from Public Safety to
Public Services as surplus equipment. This was forwarded to the Regular Session
agenda of February 22, 1996.
CLARIFICATION OF AUTHORITY OF THE GENERAL EMPLOYEES PENSION BOARD
The Council discussed clarification of responsibilities of the General Employees Pension
Board, as they relate to making recommendations to the Village Council. The Council,
by consensus, clarified that the General Employees Pension Board, which includes
employees, does have the authority to make recommendations to the Village Council
concerning benefits, since any decision to amend the Pension Plan rests with the Council.

COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT FOR FY 1994-95
Presentation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Year Ended September
30, 1995 for the Village of North Palm Beach, as prepared by Haas, Diaz & Company,
was made and reviewed by Deborah Diaz. This will be placed on the Regular Session
agenda of February 22, 1996.
FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) -FLOOD REPAIRS
Discussion took place concerning authorizing staff to begin repairs to Village property and
infrastructure damaged by flooding, in accordance with approved "Damage Survey
Reports". This was forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of February 22, 1996.

There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at
8:50 p.m.
