ROLL CALL
Mayor Marks called the meeting to order at 10:40 p.m. All members of Council were
present. All members of staff were present.
Mayor Marks announced that Item b. and Item e. had been removed from the agenda.
"~ ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SALES
Discussion was held concerning the Planning Commission's recommendation of 3/5/96
that no changes be made to distance restrictions for alcoholic beverage sales related to
C-3 zoning district. In order to have the same requirements in North Palm Beach as in
Lake Park, the Village Council directed that an ordinance be prepared to send to the
Planning Commission for the Public Hearing process.
BID AWARD FOR SHORELINE PROTECTION PROJECT AT NPBCC
After a report by Howard Searcy, Consulting Engineer, discussion was held concerning
bid award for shoreline protection project to Murray Logan Construction Company in the
amount of $244,596 to be expended from L8070-33197 (Country Club Reserve) for the
purpose of stabilizing shoreline on the Intracoastal Waterway at the North Palm Beach
Country Club. It was further discussed that the lowest bid, submitted by Shoreline
Foundation, was irregular and should be rejected. This was forwarded to the Regular
Session of May 9, 1996.
POSTING OF "NO PARKING" SIGNS - CASTLEWOOD AND PALMETTO
Discussion was held concerning request for "No Parking" signs to be posted for the swale
'~ area at the First Church of Christ Scientist to alleviate nuisance parking in the swale. An

ordinance amending the Code will be prepared and placed on the Regular Session
agenda of May 9, 1996.
BUDGET AMENDMENT -PART-TIME BUILDING INSPECTOR (NEW POSITION)
Discussion took place concerning a request for a new positions for Public Services
Administration described as a temporary part-time Building Inspector, and budget transfer
of $12,000 from A5540-49911 (Council Contingency) to various A6018 accounts. This
was forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of May 9, 1996.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at
11:00 p.m.
