Mayor Vastola called the meeting to order at 9:50 p.m. All members of Council were
present except President Pro Tem Kelley, who was absent due to illness. All members
,,~.., of staff were present.
PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING -ARCHITECT'S STATUS REPORT
Tim Hullihan of Gee & Jenson Architects was present to give a status report on the
proposed Public Safety Building. The schematic site package will be placed on the
Workshop Session agenda of June 12, 1997.
SANCTUARY COVER P.U.D. MODIFICATION
Discussion was held concerning the Planning Commission's recommendation to approve
the modification to Sanctuary Cove Phase II Planned Unit Development. This was
forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of June 12, 1997.
UTILITY TRAILERS
Discussion took place concerning the Planning Commission's recommendation regarding
the use of utility trailers in R-1 zoning districts. The Village Council directed the Planning
Commission to review this matter a second time, with concentration on allowing utility
trailers to be kept in garages with closed doors or hidden within a fenced area, and to
define which trailers would be allowed and which trailers would not. Staff was also
,,.., directed to look at is the fact that most of the properties, if not all, are subject to certain
deed restrictions, which may prohibit certain types of trailers.

VEHICLE SIGN CODE REGULATIONS
Discussion was held concerning amending the Code to regulate vehicle signs in
commercial zones. This will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of June 12, 1997.
EVALUATION FORM -VILLAGE MANAGER
Due to the approaching curfew, discussion regarding an evaluation form for the Village
Manager's annual review was postponed.
COUNCIL COMMENTS
Village Attorney George Baldwin gave a brief status report on the litigation between
Martin Steinhardt and the Village.
