ROLL CALL
Mayor Norris called the meeting to order at 10:03 p.m. All members of Council were
present. All members of Council were present. All members of staff were present.
LEASE RENEWAL - NPBCC RESTAURANT
~ Discussion was held concerning request by Zelnia, VanShaffelaar, Price, Inc., to exercise
one 3-year renewal option for Windows on the Green at the North Palm Beach Country
Club. Laurie Zelnia presented several options for service at the restaurant, which she will
forward to the Council for their review and consideration. The Council agreed by
consensus that a committee negotiate changes to the lease with Ms. Zelnia, with the
committee being comprised of Councilman Tringali, Village Manager Dennis Kelly,
Country Club Administrator Ron Albert, and a member of the Country Club Administrative
Board.
BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR RECREATION PROGRAM EMPLOYEES
The Council discussed the use of pre-employment background checks on all volunteers
and instructors involved in Village programs. This will be placed on the Regular Session
agenda of May 14, 1998.
SUPPLEMENTAL AUDITOR'S AGREEMENT.
Discussion was held concerning a supplemental auditor's agreement to devise an internal
reporting mechanism for various volunteer organizations associated with the Village of
North Palm Beach for the purpose of reporting their revenues, contributors, expenditures
and other financial reports on an annual basis. This was forwarded to the Regular
Session agenda of May 14, 1998.
