The Village Council met in workshop session on Monday, July 31, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. to review the proposed
and revised Country Club Budget for FY 2000-2001 and began their review with Personnel for Golf
Shop/Carts/Driving Range. All Council members were present; staff present were: Village Manager Dennis
Kelly, Finance Director Shaukat Khan, Country Club Administrator Ron Albert, Tennis Director Buddy
Goeltz, Pool Manager Dick Cavanah and Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent John Morsut. In addition,
Country Club Advisory Board members present; Chairman Paul Lambrakis, members Joe O'Hagan, Jim
Bender, and Sandy Finck.
The Council entered into budget workshop discussions starting with Page 13 of the Revised Budget and made
changes per the attached workshop changes sheet.
There being no further business to come before the Council, they stood adjourned at approximately 8:30 p.m.;
this concludes the budget workshop sessions. Public hearings will take place preceding the Council meetings
of September 14`~ and 28`h, 2000 starting at 7:00 p.m.

of $20,827.00 per year under the 1999-2000 Annual Salary
column.
L8046-11300 Part=time Pay Eliminate Country Club Attendant - PT Position P205
(new position (gs)).
L8046- Golf Shop If Head Pro wants to bring a proposal back reflecting the
contracting of the Golf Shop from the Village, the Village
Council will review the proposal.
Golf Course L8045-34110 Telephone Add $10,000.00 for the installation of emergency telephones $2,100.00 $12,100.00
Maintenance on the golf course at holes #7 and #16.
Administration L8056- Advertising Council directed staff to submit an amendment to the
enabling ordinance creating in the Country Club Advisory
Board to include a marketing specialist as a category for
Board membership.
L8056- Executive Salaries Council will review the job description for the Country Club
Administrator after the Country Club Advisory Board has
had an opportunity to review and comment and forward their
recommendations to the Council. Council's desire is to
resolve the differences between three (3) job descriptions
regarding the Country Club Administrator position.

Revenues Walking Fee Change the walking fee for 18 holes from $3.00 to $4.00 and
change the walking fee for 9 holes from $2.00 to $3.00.
Administration Country Club Benefits Village Council directed the Country Club Advisory Board and
the staff to look into the current policy (if any) regarding free
play on the golf course; in addition, once the current policy has
been reviewed the Country Club Advisory Board is requested
to provide recommendations for a future policy regarding free
use of the golf course and other operations within the
Country Club as a recommendation to the Village Council
for their consideration.
