Mayor Eissey called the meeting to order at 9:48 p.m. All members of Council were present,
except Vice Mayor Norris, who was out of town. All members of staff were present.
NICKLAUS CONCEPTUAL DESIGN FOF GOLF COURSE
This item was moved forward on the agenda. Doug Morey, Director of Field Operations, was
present on behalf of Nicklaus Design. Mr. Morey reviewed the conceptual drawing for
renovation of the golf course. Discussion took place on construction costs, funding, and the
timeline for the project.
CODE AMENDMENT -RESIDENCY PROHIBITION FOR SEXUAL OFFENDERS/PREDATORS
Village Attorney George Baldwin reviewed a proposed ordinance which would restrict sexual
offenders and sexual predators from establishing a permanent or temporary residence in the
Village within a specified distance of any school, designated school bus stop, day care center,
park or playground. Mr. Baldwin recommended that staff apply distances between 1500 and
2500 feet from these designated places to determine if such distance allows a reasonable right of
residency. Discussion ensued on including the Country Club in the list of specified locations
with regard to distance restrictions. Discussion took place on penalties for violation of the
ordinance. During discussion, the draft ordinance was revised to add the phrase "within the
Village" to two sentences in Section 1. Discussion took place concerning a sexual offender
policy adopted in January, 1998. The draft ordinance will be brought back to a Workshop for
further consideration.
GAS TANK CONTAMINATION
Mr. Bates reported that the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has approved the
Limited Scope Remedial Action Plan (LSRAP) with regard to gas tank contamination at the
~. Public Services Department. Discussion ensued on possible locations for the replacement tanks.

Mr. Bates will bring back an analysis of the pros and cons of various locations, along with a
recommendation, in late August or early September.
COUNCIL MATTERS
Brief discussion took place concerning a letter from the Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach
County requesting a local match contribution from the Village in the amount of $1,566.32. This
item will be placed on the Regular Session agenda for August 11, 2005.

With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 10:50 p.m.
