TIIF. NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE, 1978 EDITION, AND SETTING FORT}[
' AMENDMENTS TO SAID NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 13-1 of the Village of North Palm Beach
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 13-1. ADOPTED BY REFERENCE --- Under the
authority of Section 163.295, Florida Statutes,
the Village of North Palm Beach hereby adopts
by reference thereto the National Electric
Code, 1978 Edition, and the recommended amend-
ments of the Palm Beach County Building Code
Advisory Board, as the electrical code for the
Village. There has been for at least ten days
last past and shall be during the time that this
code is in effect, three copies of such code and
recommended amendments kept available for public
use, inspection and examination."
' Section 2. Section 13-2 of the Village of North Palm Beach
('ode is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 13-2. AMENDMENTS, CORRECTIONS AND ADDITIONS---
The following amendments, corrections, and
additions to the recommended amendments of the
Palm Beach County Building Code Advisory Board
are hereby made and adopted, said amendments,
corrections and additions being set forth herein
with reference to and prefaced by the section
number and title of said amendments, as follows;
80-6 (c) (3) - Schedule of Permit Fees. Delete the
first paragraph and substitute the following:
On all electrical work requiring a permit as
set forth in 80-5, fees shall be paid as required
at the time of filing application in accordance
with the following schedule:

REMODELING WHEN NO CHANGE OF SERVICE IS REQUIRED:
RESIDENTIAL: MINIMUM ELECTRIC PERMIT FOR RESIDENTIAL WILL BE $5.00
PI:R TENANCY. FOR EVERY OUTLET OVER TEN (10), AN ADDITIONAL FEE, OF
.50 PER OUTLET SHALL BE CHARGED IN ADDITION TO THE MINIMUM PERMIT.
COMMERCIAL: MINIMUM ELECTRIC PERMIT FOR COMMERCIAL WILL BE $10.00
PER TENANCY. FOR EVERY OUTLET OVER TEN (10), AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF
$1.00 PF.R OUTLET' S}{ALL BE CHARGED IN ADDITION TO THE MINIMUM PERMIT.
80-8 - Violations and Penalties. Delete entirely.
Article 230-43 - Add to existing paragraph:
This paragraph shall not apply to single family dwellings
or primary cable on any buildings so long as the services are in-
stalled, operated and maintained by a franchised utility company."
Section 3. Any person, firm, or corporation who shall
violate a provision of this Ordinance, or fail to comply therewith,
' or with any of the requirements thereof, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor. F,ach such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate
offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any
violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance is committed
or continued, and upon conviction of any such violation, such
person shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred
dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment for a term not exceeding six (6)
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
