PUBLIC HEARING AND 2ND READING OF ORDINANCE 2011-01 – SIGN CODE
1.
AMENDMENT
Consider a motion to adopt and enact on second reading Ordinance 2011-01,
a proposed ordinance amending Section 6-117 of Article V, “Signs and Outdoor Displays,” of
Chapter 6 of the Code of Ordinances to exempt individual signs in multiple occupancy
projects with approved sign concepts from Planning Commission approval.

PUBLIC HEARING AND 1ST READING OF ORDINANCE 2011-02 – CODE AMENDMENT –

PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINICS
Consider a motion to adopt on first reading Ordinance 2011-02,
amending Appendix C, Zoning, of the Code of Ordinance to impose additional restrictions on
medical or dental offices or clinics and pharmacies relating to the distribution and sale of
controlled substances.

1ST READING OF ORDINANCE 2011-03 – POLICE AND FIRE PENSION PLAN

AMENDMENT
Consider a motion to adopt on first reading Ordinance 2011-03, a proposed
ordinance amending Section 2-161 of Article V, “Pension and Certain Other Benefits for Fire
and Police Employees,” of Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances by removing the decrease in the
cost of living adjustment and establishing a “high water mark” related to cost of living increases.

1ST READING OF ORDINANCE 2011-04 – CODE AMENDMENT – YARD WASTE

Consider a motion to adopt on first reading Ordinance 2010-04, a proposed ordinance
amending Section 14-31, “Collection of Residential Yard Waste,” of Article II of Chapter 14
of the Code of Ordinances to limit registration and yard waste removal requirements to
commercial tree trimmers and landscape maintenance companies.
ACTION
D. CONSENT AGENDA
The Consent Agenda is for the purpose of expediting issues of a routine or
pro-forma nature. Councilmen may remove any item from the Consent Agenda, which would automatically
convey that item to the Regular Agenda for separate discussion and vote.

E. OTHER VILLAGE BUSINESS MATTERS
RESOLUTION – OUTFALL PIPE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT
1. Consider a motion to
adopt a proposed resolution accepting the bid of Johnson-Davis Inc. for outfall pipe repair
and replacement at a total cost not to exceed $37,000, and authorizing execution of a contract.
ACTION
RESOLUTION – JULY 4, 2011 FIREWORKS DISPLAY
2. Consider a motion to adopt a
proposed resolution accepting the proposal of Pyrotecnico of Florida LLC for the July 4, 2011
fireworks display at a total cost of $20,000.00, and authorizing execution of an agreement
for such services.
